Description
This jar contains the rectum, anal canal, and part of the levator ani
muscle. The specimen is slit longitudinally to show an irregular
solitary ulcer, which measures about 8 X 6 cm, has a necrotic floor and
its lower border lies about 3cm above the dentate line.
Diagnosis
Carcinoma of the lower rectum.

A. Adenocarcinoma. It might show colloid activity (colloid

columnar epithelium, and that is why it is an adenocarcinoma.
