Anatomical Diagnosis :
A specimen shows:
- Puerperal uterus.
- Adnexae.
-Strip of the vagina.
Pathological Diagnosis :
- The endometrial cavity is lined by shaggy yellowish necrotic pyogenic
membrane.
- Retained placental fragments attached to the fundus.
- Cupping of the fundus (1st degree uterine inversion)
Operative Diagnosis :
Post-mortem specimen
Provisional Diagnosis :
Puerperal sepsis with 1st degree uterine inversion.
