Anatomical Diagnosis :
A specimen shows:
Cut section of the ovary.
Pathological Diagnosis :
- The ovary is enlarged & the ovarian tissue is replaced by an irregular
ill-defined, mass which is solid in areas & cystic in others, with
extensive haemorrhage & necrosis.
- Coils of hair can be been in some areas.
Operative Diagnosis :
Post-mortem specimen.
Provisional Diagnosis :
Malignant teratoma of ovary.
