Anatomical Diagnosis :
A specimen shows:
- Uterus (bisected).
- Fallopian tubes.
- Ovaries.
Pathological Diagnosis :
- Irregular ill-defined polypoidal growth spread over the endometrium &
infiltrating the myometrium with areas of haemorrhage & necrosis.
- Right ovary is enlarged by a solid mass.
- Outer surface of the uterus shows subserous fibroid.
Operative Diagnosis :
Total abdominal hysterectomy & bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.
Provisional Diagnosis :
Uterine malignancy & solid ovarian tumour for differential diagnosis
(Endometrial carcinoma).
