Anatomical Diagnosis :
A specimen shows:
Uterus (bisected).
Pathological Diagnosis :
- The ecto-cervix shows a fungating cauliflower mass extending into the
upper vagina.
- Polyp attached to the fundus of the uterus, the base of the polyp is
infiltrating the myometrium & the tip of the polyp shows haemorrhage
suggesting malignant polyp.
Operative Diagnosis :
Wertheim's operation.
Provisional Diagnosis :
Carcinoma of the cervix (cauliflower type) with malignant uterine polyp
(choriocarcinoma , endometrial carcinoma).
