Anatomical Diagnosis :
A specimen shows:

- Uterine body with transverse section at the fundus.
- Fallopian tubes.
- Ovaries.

Pathological Diagnosis :
Transverse section of the fundus shows :
- Thickened myometrium with coarse reticular appearance.
- Small cystic blood spaces.
- One tube shows hydrosalpinx , the other shows pyosalpinx.

Operative Diagnosis :
Subtotal hysterectomy.

Provisional Diagnosis :
Adenomyosis & chronic salpingitis.
