Diagnosis :
A specimen shows:
- Both fallopian tubes.
- one ovary.
Pathological Diagnosis :
- Both tubes are enlarged , thick walled & surrounded by dense
adhesions.
- A longitudinal section was done in both tubes to show the thick walls,
interior ridges & pus filling the tubes.
- The ovary is cystic & adherent to the corresponding tube.
Operative Diagnosis :
Bilateral salpingectomy & unilateral ovariectomy.
Provisional Diagnosis :
Bilateral pyosalpinx.
