Specimen:
Bisected kidney.
Gross Pathology:
1. The outer surface shows multiple depressions representing the bases of infarcts.
2. The cut section shows that infarcts are pyramidal in shape, with their bases towards the surface. They are greyish white in color with dark margins and depressed bases (fibrosis).
Diagnosis:
Healed renal infarcts.
