Specimen:

Upper part of the humerus and scapula.

 

Gross Pathology:

1. The upper end of the humerus is expanded and destroyed by a non-capsulated globular mass; 8 cm in diameter. The mass shows a multilocular cut section exhibiting hemorrhage and clotted blood.

2. The tumor is surrounded by thin shell of cortical bone.

 

Diagnosis:

 Giant cell tumor of the upper end of humerus.
