Specimen:
Pancreas, mesentery, mesenteric and para- aortic lymph nodes.
Gross Pathology:
1. The lymph nodes are enlarged and matted (adherent to each other), with yellow caseous cut section.
2. The lymph nodes are surrounded by greyish white fibrous tissue.
Diagnosis:
1. Tuberculous lymphadenitis of mesenteric lymph nodes (tabes mesenterica).
2. Tuberculous lymphadenitis of the para- aortic lymph nodes.
