Section of the spleen
Gross Pathology :
1. The spleen is enlarged with sharp edges, denoting firm consistency.
2. The cut surface shows multiple pale brown waxy semi-translucent amyloid deposits against a darker brown background.
Diagnosis:
Amyloid sago spleen.
