Specimen:

Part of a large cystic ovarian mass.

Gross Pathology :

1. The outer surface is smooth and greyish white.

2. The inner surface of the cyst shows

solid masses (dermoid ridge), projecting in the cyst cavity and shows different tissue, such as tufts of hair, teeth and a tongue-like structure.

Diagnosis

Dermoid cyst (cystic teratoma) of the ovary.
