Specimen:
Half of a uterus.
Gross Pathology:
1. The uterus is enlarged and shows a large rounded mass arising from its wall, projecting in and filling the uterine cavity.
2. The masses show greyish white whorly cut section with pale whitish areas of hyaline degeneration and small cystic spaces (cystic degeneration). It is surrounded by compressed uterine muscles forming pseudo-capsule
Diagnosis
Uterine leiomyoma with hyaline and cystic degeneration.
