Specimen:
Section in the thyroid gland.
Gross Pathology:
1. The gland is asymmetrically enlarged with nodular outer surface.
2. The cut section shows multiple variable sized nodules separated by fibrous septa.
3. Some nodules are solid, others are cystic and filled with dark red colloid.
Diagnosis: Nodular goitre.
