Specimen:
Heart with open left side
Gross Pathology:
1. The pericardial sac is obliterated by yellowish caseous masses showing focal dystrophic calcification surrounded by greyish white fibrous tissue. The parietal pericardium show shows greyish white fibrous thickening and fibrous adhesions.
2. The tracheobronchial lymph nodes are enlarged, adherent and show yellow caseous patches and black anthracotic patches.
Diagnosis:
1. Tuberculous pericarditis with caseation and fibrous adhesions.
2. Tracheobronchial Tuberculous Lymphadenitis.
